Mac & Cheese & Hamburger -- It's for Dinner

Out of sheer laziness, I am making mac and cheese and ground beef. My daughter says this mac in a cup is good and easy, so I am giving it a try. Hope it is good, but hey how can it not be, cheesy mac and beef, yum.

Innie or Outie -- Cleaning -- Butlers

The post at Apartment Therapy got me thinking. Are you an innie or an outie (not talking about your belly button) -- your style. In certain rooms, I am an innie and in certain an outie. I have been trying to streamline though. So, back to the post, at AT, it is about becoming your own butler, from a "How to Train a Butler", article found Here at Elle Decor .

Since I will never be rich enough to have a butler, I will be streamlining some rooms (making them innies), then taking to deep cleaning a room a day, or a room every other day. Maybe, that way I can truly get some rooms clean. Starting with the TV or Family room, vaccuming the baseboards, wiping down surfaces, and doing a good dusting, then at least the bathroom...... Like a good butler I do use vinegar and water, my daughter does use the Magic Erasers.

Photo below of my family room looking into the dining room and kitchen. That is a huge open wall that actually keeps going to the right and has a huge window to the kitchen, so the pleather drapes, keep the sound in the room, when watching TV, and serve as a sort of buffer. The wall is 20' long and has 7 panels on it.

Then after all that hard work.....making pizza.

Then sitting on my patio and looking at the view.

Yes, he pees in the pool. Ha ha.

Enjoy your weekend.

Inspiration Images -- Working for the Weekend

First, I am sorry, not sure where this image is from. Martha Stewart? Anyway, it totally got me thinking. Instead of one long table ---- why not do it like this and go restaurant style, 2 rectangle tables, that can be seperate or pulled together, fun on a patio too.

What gets you thinking?

I saw this image over at Pure Style Home , and it totally got me thinking, even if you didn't have a pool, but had a portion of your yard that you wanted to add interest to. You could stack concrete (cinder) blocks, and then fill the top ones with plants, and you have some height and visual interest.

Happy Friday. Use some inspiration and make your world great this weekend.

Tazo Passion Tea

Tazo Passion Tea for Summer!!

I love the Tazo Passion Tea that is served cold at Starbucks. One day I asked how they make it, and was given their instructions.

They make the Passion tea really strong (almost like a syrup). Then as ordered add ice, water, and shake.

Let the experiments begin.

You can use a coffee pot -- 3 tea bags to 5 Cups water brew and add ice and water to make 2 quarts. Sweeten to taste. Pretty good.

Even Better!!!! -- And easier!!

Boil 1 1/2- 2 Cups water (depends on size of pan) -- when boiling turn off water and put in 3 tea bags and seep (let tea bags sit in water) until good and red -- 15 minutes. Then pour this concotion over ice and add water to make 2 quarts ---- sweeten to taste. Yum.

I think the boiling water just makes a better tea, and is hotter, so it makes a thicker syrup for the tea.

I put some in a small 1qt plastic jug so I can shake and get a lot of the foam. Starbucks shakes theirs in a metal cocktail shaker, the plastic jug is just easier.

I love the shaken air foam of this tea. Yum.

Make some for yourself. -- Oh, for sweetener I use a natural Agave. I don't know what they use at Starbucks, but I do know the Tazo Passion in the individual bottles uses Erythritol.

Shaken -- Yum.

Serve and enjoy.
